Recently, I had the extraordinary opportunity to exchange thoughts with one of the most influential figures in environmental and sustainability research: Prof. Ernst Ulrich von Weizsäcker. As the co-founder of the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment, and Energy and a pioneer of the efficiency revolution, he has demonstrated through his Factor-4 strategy that it is possible to use resources twice as efficiently while maintaining the same level of prosperity.
In the 1990s, he was already a member of the Club of Rome and played a key role in urging the global community to take up the fight against climate change. Later, as Co-President of the Club of Rome, he advocated worldwide for sustainable business practices. His latest book is titled “This is not enough!” and carries a provocative but necessary warning: “In dealing with climate change, our dogmatism and self-righteousness will lead to disaster!”
These inspiring ideas motivate me to support companies in developing and optimizing their sustainability strategies. My goal is to encourage organizations to implement innovative and holistic solutions, not only to combat climate change but also to ensure their long-term viability.
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Co-Create and Volker Petersen for inviting me to the Co-Create Congress and providing this unforgettable opportunity.
